Gail Parker Edwards was a woman of unwavering faith, integrity, and compassion. Born in Carbon Hill, Alabama in 1946, she built a life grounded in hard work, service, and love for her community. Gail’s career spanned decades in the banking industry and with the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), where she was known for her professionalism and kindness. In retirement, she remained active, volunteering with Meals on Wheels and dedicating herself to her church, Living Word Missionary Baptist Church.
Above all, Gail believed in the power of education, perseverance, and helping others reach their full potential. Her life was a living testament to resilience, grace, and generosity.
The Gail Edwards Scholarship was established to honor her legacy by supporting students who exemplify her values: a strong work ethic, a heart for service, and a commitment to personal growth. This scholarship aims to uplift individuals who, like Gail, are determined to make a meaningful impact in their communities through education and service.
