Eligibility

1. Specially for but not limited to Catholic Students pursuing higher education, especially in the fields of healthcare and/or education. 

Essay Topic:

• "22 Bruins believes in turning struggle into strength. Tell us about a time when you turned a difficult experience into motivation to pursue your dreams."
• Length: 500–750 words
• Format: Typed, double-spaced, PDF or Word Doc

Award Value:

2. Students must be majoring in film or television and have attained junior status.

2. Must be pursuing a major or career path related to the health field (broadly defined—clinical, mental health, public health, research, etc.)
3. Demonstrated commitment to leadership, service, or advocacy in the Black community
4. Minimum 2.8 GPA 
5. Obtain a letter or recommendation from instructors or faculty 

Essay Topic:

• "HBCUs have long served as pillars of excellence, resilience, and Black empowerment. How has your decision to attend an HBCU influenced your goals in the health field, and how do you plan to carry that legacy into your career?"

• Aimed at students in trade or vocational training, this scholarship focuses on work ethic and passion for skilled trades. Applicants must share their reasons for choosing a trade and how they plan to impact their community. 

Eligibility

1. Must be applying to or currently enrolled in a trade school, technical program, or vocational training (e.g., plumbing, welding, HVAC, cosmetology, automotive, medical technician, etc.)
2. Open to students of all ages.
3. Demonstrated passion for a skilled trade and a clear vision for their future No GPA requirement (focus on determination and work ethic)

Essay Topic:

• "Not all education looks the same. Tell us why you chose a trade or vocational path, what it means to you, and how you plan to use your skills to make a meaningful impact—whether in your family, community, or industry."
